On the centenary of the Slovene National Theatre Maribor, a monograph entitled One Hundred Years of the Slovene National Theatre in Maribor 1919–2019 was published. This comprehensive book presents a century of dynamic artistic development (changes, turning points) and key figures who have marked the work of the Drama, Opera, and Ballet. In addition, it also provides an overview of the prehistory of theater production in Maribor from the second half of the 18th century, the history of the construction and renovation of the SNG Maribor building complex (1847–2003), the theater's repertoire over a hundred years of operation, an index of personal names, and an index of titles of performed works. The authors of the texts are: Jerneja Ferlež, Primož Jesenko, Blaž Lukan, Tone Partljič, Vili Ravnjak, Manica Špendal, and Benjamin Virc. The book was edited by Vili Ravnjak and Primož Premzl, designed by Matjaž Wenzel, who is together with Borut Wenzel, also the author of a series of original photographs used in individual chapters of the book. The book contains 750 illustrations, most of which were previously unknown to the general public, printed in color on art paper.
